Views from our Client & Partner Day 2021
Our Strategic Adviser and Client & Partner Day host, Jos Creese, gives his summary of an amazing day of networking and panel discussions.
Our Client & Partner Days are annual events that we put together to help our valued clients get in front of the leaders of public sector procurement. With ample opportunity to get networking and chatting with thought leaders in the world of public sector digital transformation, as well as our other amazing clients, it’s something that brings a lot of value to those targeting the public sector.
This year, for obvious reasons, we held our first ever online event. With a brand new platform that added networking functionality and the ability for a great live panel discussion. It was a great success!
Our amazing lineup of speakers on the day were:
- Jessica Figueras, Government Technology Strategist at Hitcher Ventures.
Jessica is a tech strategist, currently advising start-ups and scale-ups on growth strategy, as well as carrying out tech futures research for the UK government. - Henry Rex, Associate Director for Government at techUK.
Henry is responsible for managing the relations between Government and the Private Sector at techUK. He can be usually found working with individual departments and cross-cutting Government functions to promote better engagement between the public sector and the tech industry. - Patrick Nolan, Technology Pillar Director at Crown Commercial Services.
Patrick oversees the Technology Pillar with CCS’ strategy. Who is also in charge of the adoption of their many commercial agreements, and champions the work SMEs do with the public sector.
As well as our host Jos Creese, Strategic Adviser at Advice Cloud and former Local Gov CIO.
What was said during our Client & Partner Day?
We can’t go into attributed quotes here, due to Chatham House Rules. However we’ve made available a brilliant write-up from the session by our Strategic Adviser Jos Creese. In which he goes into good depth about the key themes and ideas explored by our panel and guests. This includes:
- What Procurement in 2021 looks like for suppliers and buyers
- How Social Value is becoming a key aspect of public sector procurement
- The risks that face both sides when procuring
- and more!
Make sure you get your copy, as it holds some great discussions and things to ponder over for both the public and private sector.
