Lights, camera, action!
Last week we had a very exciting day here at Advice Cloud. Lights, camera, action… filming our training preview lesson!
You might have noticed by now a page on our website called Training, eagerly waiting for some content. We are in the process of developing our new Training product. And, last week the brilliant AVTConnect crew came to the office to film our Preview lesson for our first online training course “G-Cloud Supplier Essentials.” As the name suggests this is a brilliant starter course for anyone looking to make that crucial first sale or looking to increase their existing G-Cloud revenue.
In the preview lesson, you will be able to hear why the course is important and how it will help your company, delivered by none other than our MD Chris. To this goal he was put under the spotlight in what was apparently his first camera appearance. Now we all know he has been facilitating face to face training for a long time. After all, the “G-Cloud Supplier Essentials” course is based on his 5* rated workshop delivered at TechUK. But working the camera is a little bit different, a bit of nerves could be seen on the day. Thankfully all the prep and experience payed off and the shoot didn’t take too long. We were also briefed very well by the camera crew, who were even kind enough to provide some valuable fashion advice. Chris came to the office with three shirt choices just in case!
Our plan with our training product is to take over 80 years of combined public sector procurement experience online. Up to now we have been sharing a lot of our knowledge with our clients. But not every company is in the position to invest in consultancy no matter the added value. It can be hard to get the company buy in. This is why we decided to package our experience into online training courses, starting with our biggest area of expertise: G-Cloud.
No cameras in our meeting room today. It looks a bit empty to be honest. Though that definitely doesn’t mean the work on the training course is done yet. Most of the lessons will have quizzes and we are in the process of redesigning these. In true Agile spirit we first started with a beta that was released to our Clients and Partners. We also had the entire course reviewed by our two Strategic Advisors: Jos Creese and Tony Singleton OBE. The feedback we gained was invaluable of course. After all who better to ask than Tony – the godfather of G-Cloud. Expectations are high and a lot of work has gone into it. Fingers crossed everyone likes it as much as we do!
