How to engage with CCS?

In this blog we look at some of the ways buyers and suppliers can engage with and make the best of all the services Crown Commercial Services has on offer!

How to engage with CCS

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) is an organisation in charge of providing policies and frameworks to help companies supply to the public sector. Whether you’re looking to supply yourself, (or already do) or work for a public sector organisation looking to save money and time – keeping up-to-date and engaging with CCS is a very important! Here we outline some ways in which you can engage with CCS…

Get Following

Follow CCS on Twitter! They’re very active on the platform and regularly post updates about frameworks, upcoming events and even post handy articles and blogs. Twitter also opens the ability to engage back: Like their posts, reply to discussions or raise questions when you can.

CCS also have a LinkedIn business page which you can follow. This is a great way to keep up-to-date with them, and provides a little boost for networking opportunities too! Again, it’s worth liking any posts relevant to yourself or, if you want to get in on the discussions, comment too.

Attend CCS Events

There are many events scheduled by CCS to help engage with companies and locations around the country. One of these events is the (very big) digitech showcase event in Leeds, held for the first time in 2018. The goal of the event is to bring together delegates from the public and private sectors, as well championing SMEs too. It’s a great way to get to meet and network with decision makers in government, other suppliers to the public sector and experts in the world of digital transformation – as well as CCS themselves.

CCS also partner with other organisations throughout the year to put on events such as the Public Sector Solutions Expo in Manchester. Look out for what they have organised here and try attend in the future.

For buyers, CCS run different Roadshow events across the country, giving public sector buyers and decision makers the chance to network with each other, CCS and also gain some valuable insights  – so if you work for a public sector organisation and you’re looking to get more information about saving time and money on your products and services, these events are the ones for you. These events are advertised mostly on their Social Media when available, so do make sure to follow them.

Join Webinars

CCS also provide training and webinars throughout the year.  From topics ranging from an Introduction to CCS to How SMEs Can Sell to HMRC. These are handy ways of gaining the most up to date information on frameworks and what government departments are on the lookout to purchase. Again, these webinars are usually posted to their Twitter or LinkedIn.

Keep an eye on their website

It’s definitely worth regularly checking their gov.uk site. Here they have all the main information you may need (such as contact details, reports and agreements), as well as any news or updates they are providing. CCS also provide a buyer’s support website, this is to help organisations within the public sector find commercial solutions and giving support along the buying process, which you can find here.

As you can see, there are plenty of ways to engage with CCS! Whether you’re a buyer or supplier, keeping up-to-date with CCS will help when looking to effectively navigate through the world of public sector procurement.
