Alongside the well-known G-Cloud and Digital Outcomes and Specialists (DOS) frameworks, we also offer support for a number of other CCS frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) coming up. Please note that all this info, dates and timelines are provisional and subject to change as and when CCS provides updates and ITTs published.
Technology Products is a framework designed for those suppliers looking to sell commodity technology to the public sector; whether it is a single cable or entire corporate infrastructure. Currently featuring a mix of 60 quality suppliers – of which 53.3% are SMEs – the agreement is comprised of six Lots:
The framework is currently in its second iteration. However, you can start preparing for your application for Technology Products 3 (TP3) as it is due to go live in June 2018 (TBC).
This brand new framework is getting a lot of attention especially since the announcement that G-Cloud 9 has been extended. CCS’s Software Category team are looking to provide a framework for the supply of Infrastructure related software. There is a large market for Datacentre related software provided by the likes of EMC, Citrix, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat and numerous smaller open source providers.
Software, Infrastructure & Platforms (RM6069) will specifically address that market including on-premise and cloud options (including PaaS!). This framework comes from the same team of Data & Application Solutions (RM3821) and should see the light of day in June 2018.
Information is scarce at this time about this framework, we will update as soon as it becomes available. Watch this space!
Drones? Yes, you read it right! CCS are currently investigating the use of Drones within the UK, including potential use cases for drones within UK Public Sector. The Technology Products & Services team are working with the Institute of engineers (InstE) to potentially create a framework for the supply of Drones within the UK.
This is likely to take the format of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) which will go live in late Q1 and be part of Smart Cities initiative within CCS.
The CCS Technology Products and Services team are also investigating the potential for an Innovation framework. This framework would take the form of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) and be open to all suitably qualified suppliers. The Innovation DPS should follow straight after the Drones DPS in early Q2 and is also part of Smart Cities initiative within CCS. We will update with more information as and when we have it.
It may seem impossible to keep track of all these frameworks at the same time but fear not as we have come up with our own public sector procurement pipeline. The pipeline offers a complete overview of tendering dates and is constantly updated by our team of experts!
If you want to be emailed directly when government technology frameworks open, simply sign up to our framework alert. We’ll let you know when the application windows open and throw in some useful info related to your frameworks of interest.
