Technology Services 3 has launched
The Technology Services 3 framework has now been awarded, with it going Live in July 2021. Here's what to do now.
Technology Services 3 has now been awarded and is ready to go Live in July 2021. Estimated to be valued at least £500m during its lifetime – it’s a continuation on the huge success of Technology Services 2. In short, a highly important route to market for ICT services, solutions and strategy.
We’re extremely proud to extend our 100% success rate for getting suppliers listed on to valuable frameworks – as all of our amazing TS3 clients were awarded a place! Congratulations!
What now for Technology Services 3?
Well, now that the framework is primed and ready, opportunities will be put through the framework for bidding from July 2021. It’s due to run until 2025, as it has a 4 year agreement length. So if you didn’t get listed on the framework, unfortunately you’ll have to wait until around then to see if we get a 4th iteration.
What should suppliers be doing now?
There is a lot suppliers should be doing. Here’s some top tips…
- Keep an eye out for opportunities EARLY
Check places like Find a Tender or Contracts Finder for Prior Information Notices (also called a PIN). A lot of these opportunities need engagement before they get published as a tender. So, public sector organisations will post these as PINs with some details beforehand. Keep on top of these so that you are actively engaging (you can always help shape the way the opportunity is formed), and you’re prepared for when they come to tender. - Make sure you’re in a good place with your bids
Hitting the mark with your responses is key to the Technology Services 3 framework. If you have no time or people at hand to focus on crafting promising and winning bids, then maybe consider getting external help. You’ll need to check against the needs and requirements set by the buyer, the scoring system and ensuring you’re highlighting the benefits you can bring to public sector services. - Keep working on your public sector strategy
Getting listed on TS3 is an enabler, not the end goal. Suppliers still need to market themselves within their desired markets. Keep track of early engagement opportunities, other routes to market and agreements that are relevant to you and what you can be doing to build relationships with the right people.
We’re really excited about what work can be done to transform public sector services for the the better through Technology Services 3. A new way of making procurement easier and fairer for buyers and suppliers. Again, big congratulations to all those who got listed!
