Interview Paul Sykes, Head of Corporate Services at Leading Resolutions, an independent IT Consultancy based in Swindon. Another one of our lovely clients!
Welcome to the Digital Marketplace Contenders, Paul. Let’s start by you telling us about your company; what is your value proposition?
Leading Resolutions was founded 15 years ago with a mission to become the IT consultancy of choice in the UK, by delighting our clients through an enriched IT consulting experience. Free from vested interest or bias, our value is to make our clients job easy by taking ownership, responsibility and leveraging the fantastic array of capability, knowledge and experience we have in our team from working with large corporate and public sector clients. We have built up strong track record of client success stories from both the private and public sector.
Sounds interesting. What is its relevance for the public sector?
Our experience has taught us that both the public and private sectors face similar challenges with digital transition through process and budget constraints. Thanks to this experience, we are able to positively navigate through complex programmes of work, keeping them on-time and on-budget while fulfilling key stakeholder’s expectations. Our goal for our public sector clients is to reduce their costs and accelerate the digital transformation of services within their organisations.
Why are you on DOS now – what do you hope to achieve?
The public sector has been a fabulous area of growth for us as our reputation within the public sector CIO community continues to expand. As we build our brand awareness and make our expertise accessible to more clients within the public sector, our aim is to be recognised as an organisation that stands for excellence in the same way that we have achieved this status in the private sector.
Since joining the Digital Outcomes & Specialists (DOS) framework a year ago, our reach into public sector has significantly increased; we are thrilled that we have been awarded preferred supplier status with one of our Healthcare customers as a result, for example.
Finally, how did you find the process of on-boarding onto the Marketplace, and do you have any guidance for others?
On-boarding onto the Digital Marketplace was surprisingly simple. From the outset we dedicated resources within our organisation to specifically concentrate on the public sector while engaging the services of Advice Cloud, whom I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone thinking of undertaking the process.
If ThinkDigitalPartners.com came back to talk to you in a year, what would you like to be able to say you’d achieved in the public sector?
That we have leveraged our expertise and capabilities in the public sector to broaden the awareness of our offer, and that more and more public sector organisations are benefiting from our services in the same way our existing clients are.
