techUK’s Local Public Services Committee announced
Advice Cloud’s new Managing Director, Ella Grant, has secured a place on techUK’s Local Public Services Committee.
The Committee aims to:
- Improve the engagement between Local Government and the tech industry;
- Provide leadership on critical policy issues related to local public services transformation;
- Promote and evangelise the transformative role tech can play in transforming local services
Ella Grant, Managing DirectorAdvice Cloud“I’m delighted to have been selected as a new member of techUK’s Local Public Services Committee, representing one of 11 SME reps and one of 5 women within the 25-strong Committee.
With an academic background where I’ve tended to focus on the impact of national and global policy-making on local communities, I am prioritising how the procurement of effective technologies can actively improve the political and economic life of citizens; improve community co-operation, participation and a sense of belonging and well-being; and impact the local environment by reducing carbon emissions and degradation.
This is an important opportunity to drive real change and shape the transformation of local services, as well as to help drive forward techUK’s impact.
For the next 2 years, I look forward to sharing ideas with the other Committee members, and the local government reps who we’ll work with, to take on some of the biggest and most complex challenges experienced by local communities and support the creation of effective services and social value at the local level.”
Well done to everyone who was announced as a member of the Local Public Services Committee!
