Advice Cloud has pledged a commitment to social value
We are very pleased to announce our Social Value Level 1 award from Social Value Quality Mark - a recognised external accreditation of values-led organisations.
At Advice Cloud we’re very pleased to have completed the first step in our Social Value Quality Mark (SVQM) accreditation. We worked with our partners Social Value Business who are guiding us through the process of integrating social value in every area of our organisation. With four levels to the Social Value Quality Mark standard, level 1 is named ‘Commit’. It is a great first step towards communicating our company values to the people and communities we serve.
Chris Farthing, CEO
Extremely delighted with this. Whilst level 1 is just the beginning of the journey for us it’s a very positive step and the whole process to get here was very well led by SVB. I’m really looking forward to what we can deliver as part of our commitments as well as helping others too – well done team!
Why is social value important to Advice Cloud?
Social Value Business defines Social Value as: “The positive impact created for society by the actions and legacy of an organisation”. For us at Advice Cloud, it means working to benefit people, communities and the planet. We take pride in helping SMEs and organisations provide products and services to the public sector (through avenues such as frameworks and tenders) and want to ensure that these solutions provide benefit and social value.
Our values see us focusing on local business, and investing in the health, happiness and wellbeing of our employees. We also recently worked with carbon reduction experts Positive Planet to measure our environmental impact and apply strategies to help us keep emissions to a minimum.
What will a Social Value accreditation allow Advice Cloud to do?
Social Value is a huge part of what suppliers are offering to the public sector. Being able to change public services for the better and create a positive impact through the solutions provided is now essential in the supply chain. In fact, Central Government’s agreements already include at least 10% weighting towards social value within their evaluation criteria.
Richard Dickins, MD Social Value Quality Mark CIC
“Today’s customers increasingly make their decisions based on how organisations treat their staff, the environment and communities. Through the Quality Mark we cultivate and recognise the highest standards in values-led business. This award recognises Advice Cloud’s outstanding commitment to create and report social value.”
We will use the SVQM to guide our structure and business operations. Our aim through working towards the SVQM level 4 accreditation is to stand out as a leader for ethical and sustainable business. We wish to attract business and cultivate relationships with a like-minded but diverse pool of public sector buyers and suppliers. Whilst we already do this, we understand that there are further improvements to be made and we must continue to identify new opportunities to add value.
