What is the Public Sector Mobile Service framework?
The Public Sector Mobile Service framework has been announced by CCS. Here's what we know so far...
There’s been rumblings of the new Public Sector Mobile Service framework for some time now, but recently we attended the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supplier engagement event for the route to market.
We had some positive updates about the framework, so without further ado, here’s the key info…
What’s the Public Sector Mobile Service framework for?
In short, it’s for mobile voice and data services. So, if a supplier can provide any of this, this one might be for them!
It’s actually intended to replace Lot 6 in Network Services 2 (NS2), as it features much of the same. NS2 closes in 2022, so there will be some crossover. This means that if you’re listed on that Lot for NS2, you’ll want to be on this.
We’ll get more news on specifics closer to the tender release, as the framework is still in supplier engagement.
When do we expect to see it open?
CCS are currently keeping tight-lipped on an exact date for the release of Public Sector Mobile Service. This is largely due to the ins and outs of the framework still being worked out.
They did say they have pencilled in a target for applications to open in Quarter 1 of 2021, though – so do keep your eyes peeled for announcements in the new year. They also expressed that they want it to go Live before 2023.
How can I stay up to date with the framework?
Sign up to our Framework Alert. We send out email alerts about all major technology frameworks, including when they open or big news about them. Or, book a free consultation with our CEO Chris Farthing to discuss how we can help you with the Public Sector Mobile Service framework below.
Alternatively, keep an eye on techUK too. They’ll be holding future engagement sessions for the framework.
