What is G-Cloud 12?
G-Cloud 12 is a framework for suppliers of cloud related technologies and services. It’s used by many public sector organisations and departments to procure their solutions. There are three Lots (categories) that suppliers can list under:
- Cloud Hosting – Cloud platforms or infrastructures
- Cloud Software – Applications accessed over private or public networks e.g. the internet and hosted in the cloud
- Cloud Support – For services that help the public sector set-up or maintain their cloud software or hosting

What should I do now?
If you’re new to the framework, then you shouldn’t wait around. It might seem like getting on to G-Cloud 12 is simple, but there are factors to consider. There’s also a lot to plan and get right to ensure you’re winning business on the framework. Service Definitions are now mandatory for this iteration too, so these will be a key aspect to a great listing! If you’re still considering whether to apply, here’s 12 reasons why you should.
If you’ve listed before, then take this time to make sure you’ve got everything ready for the changes to this iteration. It’s usually not as simple as straight-up relisting! If you’re not winning any business through the framework, now’s the time to ask yourself why. A longer application window than previous G-Cloud iterations gives you a chance to review your listings and make sure you’re maximising your potential.
