Welcome to the team, Grace!
We are very pleased to introduce Grace as a new member of our growing team. She joins Advice Cloud as an Operations Assistant!
As an introduction, we’ve asked Grace a few questions to find out why she joined Advice Cloud, and to see how she is settling in to her new role.
What attracted you to the position at Advice Cloud?
I love the emphasis the AC team places on the power of positivity, kindness and respect. On top of that, everyone is so enthused about tech procurement and helping clients succeed. The chance to be part of an experienced and developed team was an opportunity I did not want to miss out on!
What skills are you hoping to build on in your role?
In my new role as Operations Assistant I’m hoping to develop my tech vocabulary! As I’ve learnt from joining mid G-Cloud, key terms are vital to achieving success- they are what separate you from your competitors and make you stand out. Understanding these terms and having an expansive knowledge of them is key to my role and something I’m developing daily.
You’ve joined us mid G-Cloud, which is a pretty busy time here at AC. How have you been finding it?
Joining the AC team during our busiest time of the year- I’ve certainly been thrown into the deep end (in a good way!). It has given me great opportunity to learn more about the framework and immediately start applying it to submissions. It’s been a great introduction to the world of procurement, and I’ve had fun learning about our different clients and the work/services they provide!
Finally, do you have a fave type of tech you are looking forward to learning more about?
I love the world of VR; it is so inclusive and has entered so many different fields and disciplines to improve the lives of others (as well as being super cool). I’m looking forward to learning about the intricacies as to how VR functions and more about its application, for example, in the realm of education… I’m very passionate about education! During my MA I researched into how girls are excluded from education internationally and I’m super keen into delving into tech that promotes the inclusivity of education.
Glad to have you on board, Grace!
