- The G-Cloud framework is a catalogue of services where the basic terms have already been agreed between the government and suppliers. This means buyers can buy services without running a full OJEU procurement each time.
- G-Cloud has since its inception in 2012 generated sales of over £4bn sold with 45% of this awarded to SMEs!
- The framework is uncapped so, if the application is compliant, an unlimited number of suppliers can join the framework.
- G-Cloud has 3 Lots:
Lot 1: Cloud Hosting
Lot 2: Cloud Software
Lot 3: Cloud Support
- G-Cloud is open to cloud suppliers of all sizes.
- G-Cloud allows buyers to direct award a contract.
- The framework is for off the shelf cloud solutions, not bespoke development.
- The spend data for G-Cloud is publicly available and published quarterly by CCS.
- To list on G-Cloud you don’t need to have any formal security certifications. However, certifications are a feature in which buyers can shortlist suppliers so any you do have could give you the advantage.
- On G-Cloud, if there are differences between a supplier’s terms and conditions and those in the framework agreement, the terms of the framework agreement will be used.
- You don’t need to be based in the UK to list as a supplier on the framework.
