3 G-Cloud 10 listings we absolutely love
Looking at your G-Cloud 10 listing with fresh eyes, perhaps it doesn’t quite convey all you want it to, to potential buyers. But don’t worry there are things you can do!
Even whilst the framework is live some changes and tweaks can be made to beef up your listing and ensure you are getting the right traction.
To give you a bit of inspiration here’s 3 G-Cloud listings we absolutely love!
Cloud Software
First up it’s cloud software and one of our clients, Bulbshare. They listed their Co-Creation Platform which alleviates some of the issues around citizen and audience engagement.
But why do we love it? Even if they did have a helping hand in refining their listing, it really is of a high standard. Their service summary is clear and even someone who isn’t technical can understand what the purpose of the platform is and how it can be used. The features of the service have been chosen on a problem/solution basis and with the G-Cloud search functionality in mind.
One of the main things they have included, which despite our best efforts a lot of suppliers decided not to, is a SFIA rate card. Just another reason why Bulbshare’s listing ticks our boxes. It’s a government issued template for which suppliers can enter the day rates of any on-site support they may offer around their solution. Without one, you may find yourself in a tricky spot if a buyer asks for your support rates.
Cloud Support
Next, we have cloud support and Xansium. Cloud support is a tricky Lot because there are a variety of providers with similar skill sets but also framing them in the same way. However, Xansium have laid out clearly what services they can provide even utilising the specific technology within the features. This enables buyers with a particular tech requirement to find them easily, as well as showcase the diverse range of technology that they are able to advise and support.
It is also clear from their listing that Xansium have read, understood and engaged with specific public sector terminology. Including this shows a prior awareness of government systems and also a wider knowledge of documents such as the Digital Service Standard and the Service Design Manual. This shows they have really done their research into the public sector landscape!
Cloud Hosting
Lastly, we have Cloud Hosting and another one of our fab clients WiFi SPARK. One of our main bug bears often with suppliers is them not naming their service correctly. The team at WiFi SPARK have clearly thought about what a public sector buyer would type in the search box and avoided any product or brand names. Excellent work!
WiFi SPARK has also submitted a very comprehensive Service Definition which supports their front-end listing. Including within their Service Definition a value proposition and even alongside it examples on how they are currently supporting the public sector in various capacities to deliver its WiFi targets. This shows an understanding of the market and an already strong presence as a government supplier.
These are just 3 of the many excellent listings we’ve seen on the digital marketplace and there are many more. However, for as many good listings there are 10 bad ones, but it doesn’t have to stay that way for the entire iteration of the framework.
There are some small and some bigger changes you can make whilst GC10 is live to make your listing really stand out!
