G-Cloud 10 webinar follow up
Last week we ran a G-Cloud 10 webinar in partnership with info sec company Alliantist. Here’s the wash up with the recording.
If you missed our “G-Cloud 10 what you need to know – listing, cyber & GDPR” webinar and still want to get the low down on G-Cloud 10 before applications close, you’re in the right place!
We covered two broad but helpful topics.
Cyber security and GDPR clauses in G-Cloud 10
Delivered by Sam Peters and Sarah James from Alliantist, this part of the webinar included an overview of all the G-Cloud 10 clauses that relate directly to GDPR and information security. For example:
- Clause 6. Business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Clause 12. Protection of information
The Alliantist team also spoke about the Call- Off Contract. If you read it closely enough you will see one of the trickier clauses: 16.1. It basically says that a buyer can request that a supplier develops an ISMS (Information Security Management System) in 15 days! Suppliers should start thinking about info sec now, rather than potentially get caught out by a very tight deadline further down the line.
Finally, participants had the opportunity to hear about Alliantist’s experiences of acquiring certifications – specifically ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials. And, how this helped them with GDPR compliance.
If you are looking to get ISO 27100 and prep for GDPR our partner Alliantist is currently running a special offer on their GDPR plus ISO 27001:2013 Solution. Well worth a visit!
Creating a compliant and quality listing on G-Cloud 10
Our MD Chris, updated everyone on the changes to G-Cloud 10. Not much has changed. Most of the notable changes are to Lot 3. Cloud support has had the following Cyber Security Services added:
- security strategy
- security risk management
- security design
- cyber security consultancy
- security testing
- security incident management
- security audit services
He also shared his top tips for a compliant and quality listing. To name a few: how to use the sales data to keep an eye on the competition and emulate their successful techniques! Chris also covered the application process and which members of the team would be best to involve in the process.
