Part 2: GDPR and G-Cloud
Second part of our G-Cloud and GDPR compliance: updates from the latest CCS webinar.
Crown Commercial Service have held their first webinars on G-Cloud GDPR Compliance, following from the Procurement Policy Notice that was issued on 21st December 2017.
The sessions are being held for both suppliers and buyers, and laid out the responsibilities of both parties in the coming weeks and months:
Suppliers:
- Ensure your contact details on your Digital Marketplace Supplier Account are up to date
- Tick the box on the DM to accept the Framework Agreement contract novation
- Receive the updated call-off template and ensure this is used for all future sales
Buyers:
- Liaise with suppliers with any live call-off contracts to incorporate GDPR clauses.
It is worth noting that the clauses have been tweaked since the draft version developed in December. The contract variation will be issued via the Digital Marketplace in February, along with the Call-off Agreement template. It is mandatory for suppliers to accept the new clauses, and CCS asks that this is done by the end of March 2018 at the latest. If Suppliers decline, they will be suspended from the Digital Marketplace.
The G-Cloud 9 Framework Agreement will have clauses 8.57 to 8.62 updated. The Call-off agreement will have a new clause (33) and schedule (7) added.
If you missed the first two webinars and want to hear the updates from CCS directly, there is a third session being held at 2pm on 7th February, for which you can register here.
