With the opening date for G-Cloud scheduled now for around 17th May we felt it opportune to reconvene our ever popular webinars on making a success of your submission.
Why do you do this? I hear you ask
The G-Cloud team make it so easy to apply anyone can get on – why do we need you?
Look at the numbers of suppliers that are on there, surely it can’t be that difficult to apply!
These are questions & statements we often hear from prospective customers / interested parties. Well to be honest we agree with them. It really is very easy to get on. That’s not to say we don’t get exasperated SMEs calling us up about to throw the towel in as they don’t understand the nuances of the security assertions or what the half of the terms actually mean. However that’s not what we are concerned with.
Ease of getting on does not = sales!
Over 75% suppliers to G-Cloud don’t earn a penny. Around 2/3rd of the submissions we see are “unbuyable”; that is to say they don’t contain enough information for a buyer to successfully buy. So what we are concerned with is ensuring applicants don’t waste a penny of their money or a second of their time on applying for G-Cloud 8.
So in this webinar we will share the knowledge we have as buyers from the framework on how buyers buy & how the best companies present themselves.
We are also incredibly delighted to be able to welcome the former SME Crown Rep and G-Cloud growth strategist Stephen Allott to come and share his knowledge of what makes a successful supplier on G-Cloud. Given he was a key part of the team that took the G-Cloud sales from £50m to just under £1bn (with over 50% going to SME’s) when he left government in January this year.
